How did BOSS Assigning begin?

As an umpire, I was officiating games and watching other umpires work games in which they had no business working. The umpire could not/did not move, did not know the rules, and was in the wrong position. After talking with other umpires, I found out that the umpires assigned themselves to the games. As a result BOSS Assigning started with an idea of doing it differently and better.

How is BOSS Assigning different and better?

BOSS Assigning, takes a hands on approach to assigning. We also take time to get to know the umpires, their abilities, and places them in a situation where they are able to succeed and grow as an official. This in turn allows each tournament/event to be successful.

As with the umpires, we take time to get to know each tournament/event. We spend time with them asking questions about their tournament and this allows us to get an idea of what they are looking for, and place the right officials in the right places.
